COVID-19 Update -Level 2 Safety Measures

At Haight ashbury the wellbeing of our Clients and Staff is paramount.

In response to COVID-19, we have extended our already high standards of hygiene and sanitation so you can continue to relax and enjoy your Haight ashbury salon experience in the safest possible environment.

What we are doing for you:

• We are staggering appointments and maximising the distance between clients in the salon

• All styling/colouring stations and all tools will be thoroughly sanitised between clients

• All capes and towels will be hot washed and sanitised after each client (as usual)

• All common areas  including the reception, bathroom and lounge area will be regularly sanitised

• Staff will be wearing PP3 gear where necessary

• We are offering masks and gloves to clients

• Gloves and sanitiser will be provided for clients

• The eftpos machine will be kept thoroughly sanitised - Regular clients may make online payments

• A contact tracing station has been set up at the door

• Signage and visual aids have been added to assist with Level 2 compliance

What you can do for us to keep our Salon healthy:

• Please sanitise your hands upon entering and leaving the salon

• Please abide by all Level 2 recommendations - we have provided signage and visual aids to assist with this

• Remember to avoid touching your face and please sneeze or cough into your elbow

• We ask that you reschedule your appointments if you are unwell or have a cough, sore throat, fever or any flu-like symptoms - also if you or any of your close associates have been exposed to the virus or come out of quarantine within the last 2 weeks.

UNUSUAL TIMES

Some people are back at work, but for us social distancing sees us still closed.

Pausing business through Level-4 and Level-3 has been challenging but the results speak for themselves. We are thrilled to be heading in the right direction and look forward to welcoming you all back through our doors, hearing what’s been going on in your worlds and finding a balance in the new normal.

Once we have clarity on Level-2 we will take bookings, they can be done online through our web-site, Kitomba, our Facebook page, Instagram or call Rob 021 472 754.

MOTHERS DAY

One special day we will miss this year is Mothers Day. We would like to take this opportunity to wish all you special Mums out there a wonderful day.

Meet the Team

We have decided to do a little staff profile for each member at Haight Ashbury so that our lovely clients can get to know our team better.

First up is Anne Mackris-Berdebes.

Anne has been in the industry for 35 years and has worked at about four salons across Wellington. She's been at Haight Ashbury for 16 years and has well and truly earned the titled of Senior Stylist. Anne specialises in hairups, is always looking at new trends in colour and is a lover of Wellaplex. In her free time she likes to go running and hang out with her husband and two dogs. 
When asked to describe herself in three words, Anne said: elegant, contemporary and classy. 
Favourite Wella product: Luxe Shine Spray.

Anne's hours are 7am-2pm Tuesday to Saturday.

Goodbye Bill, thanks for your custom and your years of stellar service to the country.

It was a while back now but a truly memorable day for us - parking in Johnston Street will NEVER be the same! We're fairly sure parking the tractor in Dipton will be a lot easier but it still might make it to the newspaper!

If you come back to Wellington at any stage we hope you'll elect to join us again sometime for a haircut. We give Prime service!

Farewell Poloa, Welcome back Jenna

After years with us, we are sad to see our lovely Poloa Rowe off on her next adventure. We will all miss her and wish her the very best.

Jenna is starting back in March, beginning with 2 days a week. To everyone who has missed her as much as we have, get in quickly as her days will fill up fast.
